Leadership, transformation and organizational development
I have been supporting companies for many years in various leadership roles – including CFO, COO and CEO. My focus is on providing organizations with guidance in challenging situations, creating structures and enabling sustainable business decisions.
My experience ranges from growth and transformation phases to complex corporate situations such as restructurings, organizational changes or the professionalization of corporate structures.
In doing so, I combine analytical thinking with a clear understanding of organization, leadership and economic contexts.

Experience in leadership, transformation and growth
Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to support companies in different phases of development – from building new structures to scaling existing organizations.
As CFO, I built financial organizations, structured financing and helped companies develop robust control mechanisms.
In my roles as CEO and COO, I was also responsible for organizational changes, further developed operational structures and supported growth.
Another focus of my work was on the founding and structural development of companies, especially in the context of start-ups, management buyouts (MBO) and carve-outs.
In addition, I was involved in more than ten restructuring and transformation projects that restored economic stability and realigned organizations.
Holistic perspective on companies
Through my experience in various leadership roles, I always view companies from a holistic perspective.
Finance, organization, leadership and strategy are not separate areas – together they form the foundation of successful companies. This connection is precisely the focus of my work.
My aim is not only to optimize individual functions, but to understand companies as a whole system and to develop them sustainably.
Education
For over 20 years I have been involved in education and training – including as a lecturer, tutor, author and member of examination boards.
Among other things, I have worked for various Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) as well as educational institutions such as the Klett Academy and the ILS – Institute for Learning Systems.
In 2023, I was appointed by the government of Lower Bavaria to the vocational training committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Lower Bavaria.
Engagement
In March 2026, I founded the association “Lukas Mungai Learning Initiative e. V.”
The association supports disadvantaged students in Kenya and Germany through educational projects and collects donations for charitable educational purposes.
